| Agave attenuata
|
Description Agave attenuata ‘Raea's Gold’ is the golden sport of the variety 'Kara's Stripes'. When 'Kara's Stripes' or other variegated plants are propagated through tissue culture there is usually a percentage of plants that revert. Some plants revert to one color such as all green while others revert to the color of the variegation, in this case a golden chartruese color. For those in areas that can get below freezing be sure to protect this Agave well or better yet plant it in a container and bring her inside during the winter months. Golden Spineless Century Plant will is slower growing than the species, like 'Kara's Stripes' and most likely reach 2-4' tall and 3-4' wide and makes a great specimen container plant or it is great combined with darker foliage plants for wonderful contrast. Bright light brings out the golden color in this one but be careful not to give it too much sun or it will burn. Hardiness: USDA Zones
