| Anigozanthos humilus x flavidus
|
Description Anigozanthos humilus x flavidus 'Yellow Gem' is part of the Bush Gem® collection out of Australia. Kangaroo Paws are native to Western Australia and are often found in areas that are frequently affected by wildfires. Generally the taller the plant the tougher the plant, as many dwarfs are seen to be not as tolerant of extreme conditions. Kangaroo Paws are named as such because the flower resembles the fuzzy paw of the Kangaroo. This Yellow Kangaroo Paw has small bright yellow flowers that sit ontop of a 5 foot flower spike. Yellow Gem will flower from Spring to Fall and is a great variety for the landscape or cut flower production. The foliage is typical of other Kangaroo Paw, sword-like and the habit is upright, growing 3 foot tall. Hardiness: USDA Zones
