Description Capsicum annuum 'Black Pearl' is an exciting pepper variety with jet black foliage and shiny black fruit. A winner of the 2006 All American Selections this variety only gets 18" tall with an equal spread. This Ornamental Pepper has plenty of character other than it's black color. The bloom are lilac and once the fruit mature the color turn a bright crimson color. Talk about a wow combination with the black foliage! This one is great all by itself or works fantastic in mixed containers, try it with some contrasting foliage for a dramatic effect. So is this pepper still a pepper? Yes!
