| Crassula coccinea
|
Description One of our favorite of the Crassula spp., 'Campfire' has dramatic propeller-like foliage that starts green and matures to red, giving the plant a firey appearance. In warm climates 'Campfire' is great as a drought tolerant groundcover as it has a prostrate spreading growth habit. In cooler climates this one works best in containers, we suggest mixed succulent bowls of course! Let this one get tall enough and it will flower. The flowers are white, small and not that interesting. If you are growing in a mixed container we suggest a trim every now and then to keep the prostrate habit in check and to prevent the plant from toppling over. This Crassula can reach 12" tall with a 24-36" spread at maturity. Hardiness: USDA Zones
