Description A PlantHaven plant from English plantsman David Tristram. 'Rudolph' has a compact spreading habit and will bloom in early summer till fall. The flower are small but the bracts are showy, bright green, to use Euphorbia flowers look like tons of eyeballs staring up at you! It is recommended one cut the plant back hard after bloom so that the foliage can reflush just in time for the real show in the winter months. This is when the new growth turns bright cherry-red, which contrasts nicely to the deep blue green foliage. The plant appears to have red noses all over, hence the name, making it a great sell for winter! For you Texans, this plant is being talked about for inclusion to the Texas Superstar program. We have had it at the nursery, near Houston, TX, and it has held up nicely in our extreme heat and humidity.
