| Salvia
|
Description An electric colored Salvia that looks similar to Savlia greggii with some nice improvements. The plant itself is more compact and floriforous than greggii and the showy iridescent purple bloom color has not been seen in greggii. This one is a cross between Salvia lycioides and Salvia greggii by Lauren Springer and Scott Odgen of Colorado. For those with deer problems the aromatic foliage should keep them away, if not it may be time to invest in some heavier artillery. Best in a well-drained soil in full sun, Salvia 'Ultra Violet' will reach 24" tall with a 24" spread at maturity. Hardiness: USDA Zones
