Description A drought tolerant evergreen perennial that has a rosette growth habit. Moss Rose does not get very tall, maybe a few inches at most. It will spread forming a dense colony with age, this is how it gets its common name. The Hen is the original plant while the Chicks are the offsets. The Chicks can easily be used to propagate more Hens, hmm which came first the Hen or the Chick? The Moss Rose variety is green with a rigid feel. Hens and Chicks will bloom but are best used for their foliage and look great in mixed succulent bowls. Keep in a well drained soil in full sun or part sun. Hardiness: USDA Zones
